About this Recipe

Frozen Watermelon Dog Treats

Watermelon, the fruit of summer. As a child I spent my summers with sticky hands and face from all the watermelon I ate. It was such a great treat to enjoy on a hot summer day. Little did I know then, that I should have shared the occasional bit with my dogs. To make up for "neglecting" my childhood dogs I created these frozen watermelong dog treats. They are a simple treat to share with your dog on a hot summer day.

Any summer fruit will work well in this recipe.

Ingredients

  • Watermelon
  • Plain yogurt or kefir

Notes

Tools

  • Ice cube moulds
  • Stick Blender

Use only plain flavoured yogurt as kefir, as flavoured yogurt often will have added sugar.

If your dog is sensitive to yeast or has seasonal allergies use yogurt instead of kefir.
