Golden Paste for Dogs

Golden paste (also known as turmeric paste) is a power house treat for your dog whether they are in a peak condition or are bit wobbly in their legs.

The amazing benefits of turmeric include:

  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Anti-oxidant
  • Fights cancer
  • Relives arthritis
  • Relives gastrointensinal issues
  • May reduce the side effects of steriods

  • 75g organic turmeric
  • 70g organic cold-pressed coconut
  • 250ml Water
  • ½ to 1 ½ tsp of black pepper
  • ½ to 1 ½ tsp ceylon or premium cinnamon



  • Pot
  • Whisk

Turmeric stains hands and clothes so be aware.

Turmeric leaves the body quickly; feed smaller amounts throughout the day.

You can enjoy golden paste yourself as an addition to a milky cup of tea.

Step by Step Instructions

Golden Paste

Step 1

Whisk turmeric and water together in a small pot.

Step 2

Simmer on a medium to low heat for 7-10 minutes, while whisking.

Step 3

Allow turmeric and water to turn into a paste; adding more water as required.

Step 4

Turn off heat.

Step 5

Add coconut oil, ground pepper and cinnamon.

Step 6

Mix until well combined.

Step 7

Let cool.

Step 8

Store in glass jar for up to 3 weeks or portion into ice cube moulds and freeze.


Start with 1/4tsp per 5kg of body weight and gradually increase. For a large dog the maximum amount would be 1 tbsp twice daily.
